Airports in Phuket
Phuket International Airport serves passengers travelling to and from the island. It's the third busiest airport in the Kingdom of Thailand and plays an important role in supporting the island's tourism industry. The airport has two terminals for domestic and international flights plus an additional one for charter flights. The airport is currently equipped to handle 12.5 million passengers per year.
This airport is at a distance of 32 km from Phuket City.
Transportation
There are bus services that transport passengers from the airport to different towns and the city centre. The locals also use Songthaews or small passenger vehicles to get around in the city. Besides this there are traditional tuk-tuks and car taxis on the island. Car taxis are more expensive than Songthaews.
