Flights from Sydney

Sydney is a modern and dynamic city where you have access to unmissable scenic beaches, phenomenal restaurants and cafes, major shopping centres and the best live shows. Serving the city and its surrounding areas is Sydney Airport, Australia's biggest airport. This operates as a major international airport and receives a vast majority of flights in and out of the city. Flights from Sydney to Bali depart from this airport as well.

Sydney Airport has three operating terminals. T1 is the international passenger terminal, handling flights that depart to and arrive from other countries. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout this terminal, and there is a prayer room on level 3.

Directions to Sydney airport

Get to Sydney Airport with time to spare before your flight via Airport Link's train service from Central, St. James, Museum, Circular Quay, Town Hall and Wynyard station, to the airport's international terminal. Taxis can be hailed or pre-booked to collect you from your location and take you to the airport.

As for Sydney's local buses, try to find Route 400, as this travels between Burwood and Bondi Junction with stops at T1 and T3. Should there be a need for you to travel between the separate terminal buildings for a connecting flight, viable options are the T-Bus shuttle bus or even the train. Both Qantas and Virgin Australia offer exclusive transfers.

Reaching Bali

Soaking up the sun is one of the main reasons most visit Bali, so don't skip out on beaches like Kuta, Nusa Dua, Sanur, Amed or Balangan. Other popular activities include exploring Balinese temples and strolling through the monkey forest in Ubud. Interestingly, there is a restaurant at the Bali Safari and Marine Park called Tsavo Lion Restaurant where you can observe real lions as you dine!

Solitude seekers will be able to find solace in Bali's lesser known yet extraordinary hidden gems. Go canyoning in Munduk Village for beautiful views of nature and sunsets, or visit the Taman Festival for interesting sights and amazing colours.

Getting to the city center

Flights to Bali arrive at the Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport, otherwise known as Denpasar International Airport. The airport is situated in southern Bali and is the third busiest international airport in Indonesia. From there getting to your destination is simple–just look for the official taxi counter outside the arrivals hall and inform the attendant where you want to go. They'll then tell you the corresponding fee. Pay the fixed rate and take the receipt to the taxi to get where you need to be. Another alternative is to book a driver in advance. Though this is generally more expensive, it is ideal for those with plenty of luggage or people travelling in groups.
