Flights from Brisbane

Brisbane is the booming capital of Queensland, filled with creative spaces, charming new restaurants, edgy cafes, beautiful riverside gardens and lively bars. It is also home to Brisbane Airport, Australia's third busiest airport going by aircraft movements. Following the main airports of Sydney and Melbourne, it has the third highest number of domestic connections in the country.

Flights from Brisbane to Sydney operate from the domestic terminal. Shopping and dining is available but if you're looking for other options there's a marketplace just 10 minutes away called the Skygate where more restaurants, bars, cafes, and shopping outlets are located.

Directions to Brisbane airport

Flying from Brisbane to Sydney takes approximately an hour and a half non-stop. One of the easiest ways to get to the airport is to arrange a pick-up service via Con-X-ion if you're within a designated pick-up zone. If not, no worries, there should be a pick-up point near you. Another option is to take a cab.

In addition, Airtrain Brisbane runs a rail link between Brisbane and the airport all day long with regular intervals. Trains run every 30 minutes, however during peak hours the train runs every 15 minutes to minimise the waiting time.

Reaching Sydney

Often mistaken as Australia's capital, the city of Sydney is home to one of the most iconic landmarks in the world – the Sydney Opera House. Look beyond the unique design of this masterpiece to witness the equally amazing performances it hosts and taste the delicious food of its restaurants. Take a stroll along the waterfront to get to the Royal Botanic Gardens, where rare and beautiful plants await. The city is also visited for its sandy beaches with favourite spots including Bondi Beach, Cronulla Beach, Tamarama Beach and Maroubra. If you came for the Australian wildlife then head on over to the WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo for close encounters with koalas, wallabies, kangaroos, and more!

Getting to the city center

Your flight from Brisbane will arrive at Sydney Airport, located about 8 km south of the city centre. That's about 15 minutes away if you take the Airport Link train service. The train station at the domestic terminal is located between T2 and T3 terminals, while the international terminal train station is situated at the northern end of the terminal. You can also arrange for a door-to-door transfer via the Sydney Airport Travel Desks at the T1 and T2 arrivals lounges. These can be pre-booked online. Each of the terminals also has their own designated taxi ranks.
