High Season (Winter)
Ayers Rock / Yulara experiences its high season during the cooler, dry winter months from May to September. Daytime temperatures average a comfortable 20-25°C, dropping to around 5°C overnight, making conditions ideal for exploring the Red Centre. Low Season (Summer)
The low season spans the warmer, wetter summer months from October to April, with December and January being the hottest. Temperatures frequently soar above 35°C, often reaching into the low 40s. While some days bring dramatic thunderstorms and even brief heavy rain, the heat is the defining characteristic, dictating the daily rhythm.
Life in Yulara during summer adapts to the extreme heat. Early mornings and late afternoons are the preferred times for outdoor activities, with a quieter, more relaxed pace through the midday sun.
