It was not clear when booking this flight that Air New Zealand does not include checked baggage in their flight prices. I just assumed that it was included as the flight was more expensive than my flight in the opposite direction which did include checked baggage and as it was an international flight. As a result of this I had to pay an extra $380 to get mine and the person I was traveling with's bags on the flight. Meals were also not included and again this was not clear when booking.

We have very bad experience at the Melbourne airport. When we do the check in at the airport the staff said we have to pay 320USA for two checked bagages. When I booked the ticket I can remberd I phoned and ask some of your staff about the checked baggages they said each passenger is allowed 23kg checked baggage and one 7 kg cabin bag allowed. We carried two checked bagages each 19.5 kg and 21 kg and one cabin bag 5kg for two passengers. But at the airport they said I paid only seat not for checked bags. We travelled from London to Melbourne and bought all other tickets from you . Melbourne to Queenstown Queenstown to Auckland and Auckland to Sydney. I don't know whose fault is this and how do I claim the money I paid to the airport USD320??? We couldn't use our VIP lounge also because of this delay.
