Flights from Adelaide to Melbourne depart from the Adelaide Airport. This airport is Australia's fifth busiest, capable of handling 3,000 passengers during peak periods. Its upgraded terminal hosts high-amenity lounges and shops. The terminal is also equipped to provide all guests with free wireless internet.

Directions to Adelaide airport

The airport is located roughly 6 km from the city. There are several ways to get to the airport, including the Airport City Shuttle and an express double decker bus service by Adelaide Metro called JetExpress. The J1 or J2 bus service is the cheapest way to get to and from the city's central business district to the airport. Should you be coming from outside of the central business district, viable options are a taxi or rental car. Getting to the city center

If you're travelling from Adelaide, you'll arrive either at the Melbourne Airport or the Avalon Airport. The former is the only international airport serving the Melbourne metropolitan area and is located approximately 23 km from the city centre. Its transport hub is located at the Terminal T4 Car Park, where you can take the SmartBus Route 901, Route 478, Route 479, and Route 482 to the city. SkyBus runs express bus services to and from the city every 10 minutes. On the other hand, the Avalon Airport is roughly 50 km southwest of Melbourne. Airport transfers are provided by the Avalon City Express from the airport to Melbourne's CBD and Werribee.
