Going to and from the airports

Flights from Perth

Pristine and friendly, Perth is a vibrant city filled to the brim with big-city attractions and opportunities to relax. It's also served by Perth Airport, which connects the city to other parts of Australia and the world through regional, domestic and international passenger flights.

Needless to say, flights from Perth to Sydney also depart from Perth Airport. It has four operating terminals, namely T1 international and T1 domestic, T2 (domestic), T3 (domestic), and T4 (domestic). All four terminals are housed in two separate precincts, T1/T2 precinct and T3/T4 precinct. Different airlines operate from different terminals so make sure to double-check your itinerary!

Directions to Perth airport

Perth Airport lies in a suburb of the same name, roughly 12 km east of Perth's central business district. Transperth operates a bus service (Route 380) that runs to the airport from several parts of the city, including Elizabeth Quay Station, Victoria Park Transfer Station and Belmont Forum Shopping Centre. Guests of the airport are free to ride the shuttles between the four terminals.

You may also choose to ride in a taxi. Another option is Uber, which provides affordable transport via their ridesharing service. Other services provided by Uber are high-capacity vehicles ideal for groups and luxury transfers.

Reaching Sydney

People travel to Sydney for many reasons, with seeing the city's famous landmarks among them. Covering the very popular Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge is easy as they are next to each other. Also within walking distance are the Royal Botanic Gardens, Mrs. Macquarie's Chair and the Hyde Park Barracks Museum.

A wide variety of entertainment can be found in Darling Harbour. From the LG IMAX Theatre to the shopping centre, and the Australian National Maritime Museum. There are also plenty of beaches to enjoy, such as the Bondi, Coogee and Manly beaches.

Getting to the city center

You'll be arriving at Sydney Airport located in the Mascot suburb some 8 km south of the CBD. Travelling from the airport to the central business district is made easy due to local buses. There are bus stops on the arrivals level of the T1 and T3 terminals.

Underneath both airport terminals and accessible from their respective Arrivals levels are train stations that can also take you to the city. The train station at the domestic terminal is situated between T2 and T3, while the other is located at the northern end of the international terminal. Taxis are another great way to get to your preferred destination in Sydney.
