Going to and from the airports

Flights from Singapore

The Lion City, officially the Republic of Singapore, hosts one of Southeast Asia's largest transportation hubs–Changi Airport. The airport has earned multiple awards over the years and was recently named the "World's Best Airport" for the fourth consecutive year by Skytrax. Changi handles domestic, international and intercontinental flights, including flights from Singapore to Perth.

Changi Airport has three highly innovative terminals. Terminal 1 serves up to 24 million passengers per year and offers a wide selection of dining, shopping and relaxation options. Terminal 2 serves as an entertainment hub, while terminal 3 is an eco-friendly terminal featuring natural skylights and gardens with beautiful foliage and butterflies.

Directions to Singapore airport

Changi Airport is located on the island's eastern edge approximately 25 km from Singapore's downtown area. The airport is well served by the local transportation network. Public bus services, specifically bus number 36, drops passengers off at terminals 1, 2 and 3. There is also an MRT station situated between terminals 2 and 3 that's accessible via the eastbound train from Tanah Merah station. The most straightforward option short of driving a private car would be to just grab a taxi. It can pick you up wherever you are and drop you off at the right terminal for your flight.

Reaching Perth

There are tons of activities you can do in Perth both indoors and outdoors, so there's always something for everyone! Water lovers can tour the Aquarium of Western Australia to learn more about native marine life. If you're penguin fanatic though, why not join the Rockingham Wild Encounters for a ferry ride to nearby Penguin Island. Here penguins, wild dolphins and sea lions reside together.

You don't necessarily have to classify yourself as a lover of science to enjoy all the hands-on exhibits and experiences Scitech has to offer, and if you'd rather spend some time relaxing amongst flowing streams and beautiful gardens, head on over to the Araluen Botanic Park instead.

Getting to the city center

Major international flights to Perth arrive at Perth Airport. Catching a taxi is the easiest way to get to the centre of the city, but there are other more cost efficient options too. If you're staying anywhere near the train station at East Perth, Beaufort Street, Wellington Street, the Kings Perth Hotel or the Ambassador Hotel, you can take the Connect Shuttle bus from T3. You can also walk from T4 or ride the terminal transfer bus from T1 or T2 (free) to get to T3. Uber offers ridesharing services from the airport to the city. Each terminal has a nearby dedicated rideshare pick-up point so it's easy for the Uber driver to find you.
