Flights from Lisbon
Lisbon is the capital of Portugal as well as its largest city. It's home to the country's primary international gateway, Lisbon Airport, which is one of the largest airports currently in operation in Southern Europe. The airport handles domestic and international flights including flights from Lisbon to Berlin, Germany. It has two main runways and two terminals. The main building is terminal 1 and has been running since the airport's early beginnings in 1942. Terminal 2 is relatively new and handles flights by low cost airlines. The airport offers guests unlimited Wi-Fi for free. Should you feel peckish, there's a large array of restaurants and fast food outlets to choose from!
Directions to Lisbon airport
Lisbon Airport is approximately 20 mins from the city centre. There are various options for transportation that make getting to the airport a fairly easy task. The most cost-effective and quickest way is via the Metro, which has a direct link from the city centre. There are also several bus lines that make their way to the main terminal, however local buses only allow a maximum baggage size of 50 x 40 x 20 cm. If you're planning to bring anything bigger than that take the Aerobus or Airport Shuttle instead. Taxis are also very useful if you don't want to take public transportation.
Reaching Berlin
There's more to Germany's vibrant capital city than meets the eye. First and foremost, one must learn about Berlin's past by seeing historic attractions and landmarks such as The Berlin Wall Memorial, Holocaust Memorial, Brandenburg Gate and Museum Haus am Checkpoint Charlie. In fact, there's even an island called Museum Island where you'll find five of the oldest and most valued museums in the city.
Berlin is also known as the capital of techno and is regarded for its hard-core party scene. Bars don't have closing times so you can stay and party as long as you'd like! Prepare to experience a thriving nightlife you'll never forget.
Getting to the city center
Most international flights to Berlin arrive in Tegel Airport. Even though it's due to close sometime in 2018, it's currently the primary international airport of the city. You'll find the Berlin Transport Service stops outside of terminals A and B where you can catch the bus to the city centre. There is also a coach to Dresden that stops near the lower level of terminal E.
Some flights from Lisbon land in Schönefeld Airport, Berlin's secondary international airport. It has a railway station where you can take the regional or S-Bahn trains to the city centre and other surrounding areas. Local buses serve this airport as well.
