Brisbane is the capital city of Queensland and home of the famous Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. It also houses the primary international airport of the city and Southeast Queensland, Brisbane Airport. The airport handles both domestic and international flights to and from the city, plus serves as a major hub for Virgin Australia. In addition to the domestic and international passenger terminals it also has a cargo terminal and a general aviation terminal. Transfers between the two passenger terminals and the Skygate shopping precinct can be made with ease by using the complimentary Airport Transfer Bus.

Directions to Brisbane airport

Cheap flights from Brisbane to Adelaide operate from the Brisbane Airport, which is located approximately 12 km from downtown Brisbane. Taxis are easily available from both terminals. The taxi rank of the international terminal can be found at the northern end of Arrivals on Level 2, while the domestic terminal's taxi rank can be found right in front of the terminal. In addition, Con-X-ion Airport Transfers operate between the airport and three locations. These are Brisbane city, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Private bus charters are available upon request. Another option is the Airtrain that links Brisbane Airport to the city and the Gold Coast whilst also providing transfers between the two terminals.

Reaching Adelaide

Getting to the city center

One of the most convenient ways to get from Adelaide Airport to the city is via the JetExpress double decker bus. This express bus service is provided by Adelaide Metro and operates hourly during peak travel times. It can take you directly to several of the city's main attractions and hotels. Adelaide Metro's JetBus service also provides access to all stops en route to the CBD, Glenelg and West Beach. Tickets can be purchased on board. If you'd rather take a cab, there is a designated taxi rank to the left of the pedestrian plaza outside of the terminal.
